Common Law Admission Test 2020 (CLAT)

The consortium of National Law Universities has issued notification for admission to Under Graduate and Post Graduate programs in the National Law Universities through the CLAT - 2020. Issue of applications has started from 1st January 2020 and the last date for filling the application form is 18th May 2020 (as per the new announcement of consortium) through online mode only.

What is CLAT?
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs offered by 22 National Law Universities around the Country. CLAT is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities consisting of the representative universities. Eligibility Criteria The aspirant who is interested in appearing for the CLAT - 2020 examination should have completed 10+2 or Intermediate examination and should have obtained 45% marks for General/OBC students and 40% Marks for Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribes students. There is no lower and upper age limit for applying for the CLAT - 2020 program.

Process for CLAT Application
Aspirants should read the detailed notification before filling in the application form. The applicants can fill the form through the online mode only & should give relevant details of Name, Father’s Name, Age, Gender, Date of Birth, Educational Qualifications, Personal Information, Photo, and Signature etc. After entering the information, they need to pay the application fee as per the released notification.

Examination Pattern & Syllabus
The exam paper will consist of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, English Language, Deductive Reasoning, and Current Affairs. The question paper will have 150 questions on these topics. The time duration for the exam is 120Mins.

Process for Appearing in the Examination
The aspirants who have successfully submitted their application forms in the online mode can download the admit cards by entering the registration number and password in the admit card download link. The consortium authority will conduct the exam throughout the centres in the country on 21st June 2020, from 3PM to 5PM. CLAT - 2020 will release the result & merit list on 06th July.
